Hamptons spots to check out

East Hampton

Scoop Du Jour

Craving some ice cream to drip down your hand on that hot summer day? This is my favorite place to grab a cone! Scoop du jour is a small ice cream shop off of Main Street that offers over 15 flavors of ice cream, freshly made donuts, sandwiches and small summer food snacks.

Check out my personal fav the cookie dough ice cream and add cookie dough toppings! Yum!

Make sure to bring your cash with you as prices average from $5-$8 for an ice cream and its cash only!

Main Beach

Looking to get out of the city for a weekend to a beach that is not over crowded and ensures relaxation? Then you’re looking for Main Beach. If you have come to the Hamptons to wind back then this is the spot for you. Main Beach in East Hampton is super serene and never over crowded!

Since I have family that lives nearby, I have been going to this beach since I was a kid. I later found out  that it is open to the public! If you’re planning on driving then there is a price. For $25 a day you can pay for parking and gain access the beach. The beach offers a small shuttle cart that goes into town as well if you decide to leave your car at the beach (definitely worth the ride feeling like you’re driving in a go kart).

Main beach has a small food shack, surf rentals, and bathrooms but unfortunately no showers! Walking along the beach is always a beautiful sight, but house watching is even better. There are so many beautiful houses along the beach to admire.  You are sure to have a peaceful beach experience at Main Beach!

Montauk

The Surf Lodge

One of Montauk’s biggest hot spots. Don’t even try to get in on a holiday weekend without having reservations or knowing someone! On a typical day, the surf lodge is a great place to kick back watch the sunset and drink a beer.

The surf lodge is a small lakefront lounge area which features live music and a cool beach vibes only atmosphere. You can make dinner reservations and expect a casual seafood dining experience. The surf lodge is also known for it’s live music and features different bands and performers who come to play on different weekends at the location.

The surf lodge is the place to be seen while enjoying a drink! Clink clink

La Brisa,Tacombi

Tequila drinks and guac anyone? You will definitely find a good array of Mexican cuisine at La Brisa, Montauk. If you want some sugary drinks (and maybe a headache the next day) then La Brisa provides.

With a variety of fish tacos, steak tacos, guacamole dip, and quesadillas, you’re sure to find something that satisfies your taste buds. La Brisa is one of those places you expect to go to for a quick bite and end up trying all different types of tacos and salsa. The drink selection ranges from lupita sodas, margaritas, wines, sangrias, and Mexican style beers. The entrees are really good but really small so make sure to order for two!

The atmosphere resembles the inside of a food truck paradise! Fun string lights hang along the ceilings, with juice stands and fresh fruits adding to the beach vibe. Pro tip: this place is perfect for pictures and there are cute palm trees everywhere (shamelessly got a pic!)

South Hampton

Sugarfina

Warning: Do not step into this place unless you are in for a sugar rush! Sugarfina is a candy distributor with over 50 stores in America known for creating luxury treats and sweets!

With exotic candies from all over the world, you are sure to find something that will satisfy your sweet tooth. They even have a cocktail collection if you’re in the mood for candy rosé, malt scotch, champagne and their newest collection coronas!

Sugarfina is known for their signature lucite cube packaging, with exotic and local candies from around the world. The store is laid out like a clothing boutique with candies displayed instead! In the store they have a “design your own box” type experience in which you can choose an 3, 4 or 8 piece gift box. It’s a must see for candy lovers, and dare I say it better than Dylan’s candy bar!

Tate’s Bake Shop

Ever wonder where they make the world famous Tate’s cookies? In South Hampton! I had to make a stop by (and yes cheat on my favorite Pilsbury dough boy cookies ) to check out the fresh baked cookies. The original Tate’s bake shop offers cookies, fresh pastries, a coffee bar and even dog treats!

This location offers tons of items that are not typically sold in stores! I loved the additional gluten free and vegan options to try. Nothing and I mean nothing is better then freshly baked warm cookies, and at Tate’s that is exactly what you’ll find!

If you’re looking for fresh baed cookies without the hassle of baking them yourself make sure to stop by here!
