Cancun Mexico

Cancun is known for its parties, spring break, endless amounts of resorts, beautiful beaches and TEQUILA!

Where I stayed

This was my second time in Mexico- the first time was with my family when I was 13! This time I went with my boyfriend and we decided to stay at an all inclusive resort (drinks please!) at the Iberostar Cancun.

Our stay at the  Iberostar resort was fantastic! They provided us with a room with our own balcony (added bonus), king size bed, couch, tv and unlimited room service for FREE all day! Lets just say we definitely dipped into the unlimited fries and mozzarella sticks. I felt like I was living in the Suite Life of Zack and Cody!

The Iberostar Cancun is an upscale, all-inclusive pyramid style resort with amazing views of the Caribbean Sea and a 15 minute ride from downtown Cancun it’s located in such a convenient spot. There are 4 bars, and 5 restaurants including French, Hibachi, and Mexican,  (which are also included in the all inclusive package). For the restaurants all you have to do is make a reservation ahead of time!

We spent most of our time lounging by the pool drinking our mohitos and pina coladas.

Where I ate

Columbus Lobster dinner cruise

This dinner cruise was amazing and had the best views at sunset in Cancun!

For the meal you choose between the lobster or steak meal and you’re provided an open domestic bar.

What I did

Dolphin Discovery

Dolphins are my favorite animals so naturally we had to swim with the dolphins when we went to Cancun! We got the basic dolphin swim package for $30 and got to interact with our dolphin Cielo.

Pro Tip: book the dolphin excursion when you get to the island or ahead of time online. Some packages can be really pricey but we payed less booking directly at the place

Jungle Tour Speedboat tour

Through this tour we got to ride our own speedboat throughout Nichuptè Lagoon and snorkel! We saw all the marine life living in the lagoon from the colorful fish and sea turtles.

Isla Mujeres

Taking a day trip to this beautiful island is totally worth the trip. Aquaworld runs a tour including a  boat trip which is about a 30 minute ride from Cancun.

When you arrive at the Royal Garrafon area you will be greeted by an infinity pool, open bar, lunch buffet, palm trees, hammocks and a buffet. This was a great island to lounge around.

You also have access to kayaking, zip lining and snorkeling in the prettiest aqua blue water.

You can get around by go carts, bikes and small cars. We went on a walk along the coast of Punta Sur which is a cliff area when you can explore the sculpture garden, a lighthouse and the Mayan temple.

This was one of the best experiences of our trip. You meet the guides in downtown Cancun to hop aboard a speed boat. They harness you into the parasail and your up!

The views were unbeatable and maybe you’ll see a sea turtle or two on your way up!
